First an Australian Greens MP found that he was also a NZ citizen, then another Greens MP found she was also a Canadian citizen. The Prime minister decided that these two were careless and sloppy in not checking the conditions for nominations for seats in parliament.
Then a Government minister joined that situation. And then the Deputy Prime Minister declared he was a NZ citizen. Of course the Prime Minister decided that these two were still eligible for their positions in the parliament. Double standards for dual citizens!
Then a member of the cross bench declared that he was a British citizen, but didn’t like warm beer.
We now wait for the High Court to decided who is eligible to be in the Australian Parliament. We think it’s so funny. A sports commentator on the Australia-NZ Bledislow Cup rugby match said the All Blacks won with the whole of NZ plus half the Australian parliament cheering for them.
Now seven MP’s are waiting for the High Court to decide whether they are eligible to vote in the Australian Parliament
